Synopsis
Three strangers, living in the same New York apartment building and sharing an obsession with true crime, suddenly find themselves involved in a murder. He is actually a very skilled and talented musician. The viewer found out in the first episode that CHS lived above Oliver, who lived above Mabel with that elevator scene.

BUT the opening has CHS in a 7th floor apartment, Oliver on the 8th, Mabel on the 9th – in reverse order and far below CHS’s actual level of correspondence in the series. When the first episodes of ‘Only Murders in the Building’ started racking up 100% Rotten Tomatoes, I have to admit I was skeptical that Steve Martin and co would be able to maintain the bizarre and fun nature of this comedy-thriller series until the final episode. But Martin Short, Selena Gomez and her make an unlikely yet quirky trio that keeps us hooked and entertained until the final episode of this brilliantly written and infectiously funny series.
Steve Martin and the fantastic Martin Short played by a couple of geriatricians were artists
who stumbles upon the young gold (Gomez), who also happens to be a fanatic of murder podcasts. How this trio of ragamuffins come together to solve a strange murder in their apartment is the rest of this story. While some detective comedy series have had a huge fan base like Monk (2002-09) and Psych (2006-14).

This genre has always been a tightrope that most creators shy away from. Finding humor in the most unlikely places and filled with unexpected twists and a host of delightful supporting characters, it is no surprise that Steve Martin was also one of the creative geniuses behind the writing of this piece. I leave us with an intriguing edge and climax, so I can’t wait for another season.
