A landman, at least one who works in the oil industry, will act as a middleman between exploration companies and landowners. Typically, a landman’s job is to negotiate and finalize contracts with landowners with mineral rights to lease those rights to the company they represent. Essentially, they manage the land and secure the leases so that they can drill for oil and gas. Similar to a foreman on a construction site, they build roads, worker housing (a human camp), oversee the assembly of excavation machinery, and the drilling of the well site itself, especially in remote locations. They are also part of the fixer, problem solver, and facilitator.. Featured on CBS News Sunday Morning: Episode #44.24 (2022). So far the series is good, very good, one feeling I can’t shake is the daughter. In the show they state that the daughter is 17, then they proceed to sexualize her in an extreme way! A shower scene, a conversation about sex with her father, showing her ass! All of these scenes have nothing to do with the storyline and make for uncomfortable viewing. I get what they’re doing with the character, a daughter goes down the wrong path and her father will set her on the right path. It could have easily been avoided by just saying she’s 18, you can be 18 and still be in high school! I wish they would rewrite her statute and have no idea how this got through the editors.
