After the release of the first season, Riot announced that a second season was coming and that it would take less time to produce. The series is based on the video game League of Legends, and while it drops you right into this fictional world, it takes time and care to set up the locations and characters in commendable show-don’t-tell fashion. Solid character development and world building means it’s a thoroughly enjoyable watch that knows nothing about gameplay. The animation is absolutely gorgeous. As an anime fan, I found the animations in Arcane to be beyond anything I’ve ever seen from an animated series before. The attention to detail is incredible. It’s clear that no artistic talent or financial expense was spared in reviving the world of Runeterra. A great soundtrack, great acting and a compelling story that pulls no punches when it comes to violence and adulthood. themes.So far only the first three episodes have been released and I can’t wait to see what else they have in store for us!.
