A contemporary tale of fortune-seeking in the world of West Texas oil rigs. See the best movies and TV shows from writer/director Taylor Sheridan on IMDb, ranked by user ratings. A landman, at least one who works in the oil industry, will act as an intermediary between exploration companies and landowners. Typically, a landowner’s job is to negotiate and finalize contracts with landowners who hold mineral rights to lease those rights to a company they represent. Basically, they own the land and secure leases to drill for oil and gas. As foremen on a construction site, they build roads, housing for workers (the human camp), oversee the assembly of excavators, and the drilling of the site itself, especially in remote areas. They are also part of the repair, problem-solving, and relief effort. Link to CBS News Sunday Morning: Episode #44.24 (2022). So far the show is good, very good, one feeling I can’t shake is my daughter. The show claims the daughter is 17, then takes her sexuality to the extreme! Shower scene, talking about sex with dad, showing her ass! All of these scenes have no connection to the story and make for uncomfortable viewing. I get what they’re doing with the character, the daughter is on the wrong path, and her father is going to set her on the right path. It could have easily been avoided by just saying she’s 18, you can be 18 and still in high school! I wish they would rewrite her status and not figure out how she got into the editors.
