Synopsis
After a shipwreck, an intelligent robot named Roz is stranded on an uninhabited island
To survive the harsh environment, Roz bonds with the island’s animals and cares for an orphaned baby goose. Lupita Nyong joins writer-director Chris Sanders to talk about notable films and their time making The Wild. Robot together.. According to author Peter Brown, the inspiration for "The Wild Robot" it came from a sketch he made of a robot on a tree.

Starring Oscar winner Lupita Nyongo as Roz, along with an all-star voice cast, ground-breaking animation and a heartfelt story that brings a literary phenomenon to life. Ruby Gillman from Faryn Pearl’s Teenage Kraken, while emotional character acting was also influenced by films such as Nick Cassavetes’s My Sister’s Keeper, Tony Goldwyn’s The Last Kiss, Nigel Cole’ ;s Lot Like Love and RJ Cutler’s If I Stay. Sanders and the film’s head of story Heidi Jo Gilbert created a beautiful and heartwarming script and story that developed the emotional relationship between Roz & Brightbill and set an even more serious tone than any animated film has ever seen.

The voice cast was amazingly well chosen, Lupita as Roz, along with newcomer and British sensation Kit Connor as Brightbill, Pedro Pascal as Flick, voice acting legend Mark Hamill as Thorn the bear, Catherine O’Hara as Pinktail, British sensation Matt Berry as Paddler, Bill Nighy as Longneck, Stephanie Hsu as Vontra, and Ving Rhames as Thunderbird The Falcon (an all-new character created for the film) give their best performances, which could give this film a potential front-runner for Best Animated Feature. Sanders assembled a team of animators, artists and VFX designers to create a revolutionary and groundbreaking style that was influenced by some recent innovations.
