Short Course on the Use and Application of Geographic Information Systems in Coastal Zone Management
This is a 5-day course that introduces professionals and beginners alike to the use and application of GIS technique in environmental management, coastal planning, community resilience and social vulnerability towards the sustainable management of coastal zone and its resources as well as other resources elsewhere.
The course is designed to support capacity strengthening and training of various stakeholders including planners, disaster managers, District, Municipal and Metropolitan Assemblies, environmental officers, fisheries officers, fishermen, fishmongers and community-based management groups and NGOs.
