Season 1 covers the first 30 chapters of Wool – the book has 82 chapters
Synopsis
Men and women live in a giant underground silo with different rules that they believe protect them from the toxic and ruined world above. Whether they’re exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are what science fiction is all about.
Spinning in this way doesn’t push or pull air in
The fans on the floor in various episodes spin in the wrong direction relative to the orientation of the blades. Featured on WatchMojo: Top 10 TV Shows of 2023 You Must Watch (2023) This is an interesting look at the history of an underground bunker, the people who survived underground for so long that a civilization was born there, with traditions, myths, beliefs, rituals, and ceremonies that have their roots in events that have been forgotten and the social structure of the status quo is established.
And when the status quo that protects order is challenged, law enforcement and punishment follow
A power structure is created, creating a stratified population, both figuratively and literally, from the top of the silo to the bottom. That’s the premise, and while it’s not entirely original (think Snowpiercer, Dark City, etc.), there’s enough newness here that it feels well-executed for a TV series.
There are elaborate sets and good CGI to provide a believable atmosphere
Good acting by Oyelowa, with familiar faces in the roles of Rashida Jones and Will Patton. (But as you can see from the series poster, these are guest stars who will make way for the regular cast, with Rebecca Ferguson in the lead role.) The series looks pretty decent, with good production values.
While a suspicious mind might pick up on some obvious conspiracies early on, there are secrets that will be uncovered that will keep me glued to the screen
