Synopsis
The Jackal is an elusive assassin who makes his money by carrying out murders for high fees. The novel “The Jackal” is set in 1963 and is about an assassination attempt on then French President Charles de Gaulle.

The series moves the action to the present day. Eddie Redmayne is a standout actor in The Jackal, bringing depth and intensity to his role and keeping the audience on the edge of his seat with every move.
Lashana Lynch, however, feels a little out of place in her role here
His performance elevates the story to a higher level and adds layers of intrigue that make him a compelling leading man. Although she is talented, her performance doesn’t quite match Redmayne’s nuanced performance, which sometimes disrupts the flow and immersion.
A stronger lead actress would have made the story even better
One wonders how the casting turned out – would a different cast have made this an instant classic? A more balanced cast of leads might have given the story the epic impact it deserves.
