Synopsis
After the events of “Batman” (2022), Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin, tries to seize the reins of the underworld in Gotham. Except for the bat signal in the final shot of the season finale, we never got a Robert Pattinson cameo in The Penguin. Colin Farrell fought hard for his version of the Penguin to smoke tobacco in Batman (2022), but to no avail.

I’ve been waiting for The Penguin since it was first announced that it would be a series, and I can say that it’s as good as I expected. He stood out in “Batman” and even better in the main role. On top of that, Christine Milioti is just as good as Sofia Falcone.
The two fight to find out who is Gotham’s No
1 gangster and “bring order to all the chaos.” Some were worried that a minor character like Penguin wouldn’t be able to carry the show, and that it wouldn’t work without Batman or Bruce Wayne, but fear not, because it’s more than just a villainous character in a superhero show, it’s a great crime drama in its own right by itself. It’s a gritty, brutal crime drama that’s so fun to watch unfold. Hope we get more stories like this from this world.
